As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Specialist Unarmed in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the retail or mall environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual activity, to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist visitors, employees, and/or tenants with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
- Support access control measures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site guidelines.
- Document incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
