Job Description As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Officer in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, respond to concerns, and document observations and activities. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and personnel by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site representatives and/or public emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, damage, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems where assigned, documenting observations and notifying appropriate parties of irregular conditions.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and policy violations, and assist with crowd and/or traffic direction during government operations, events, or service disruptions.
