Job Description As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Driver in Dayton, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for guests and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will engage with the public, offer exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation every day.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any irregularities.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behavior.
Document and report any suspicious activities, maintenance issues, or hazards observed during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
Assist store staff and visitors with security-related inquiries or concerns, providing information and guidance as appropriate.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and store personnel to address security-related matters and support a positive environment for customers and employees.
