As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will complete routine patrols and vehicle rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and a customer-first mindset. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

New York State Security Guard License.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail setting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including resolving disturbances, addressing disruptive behavior and/or coordinating with local law enforcement as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, loading and receiving areas and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft and/or property damage.
Monitor entrances, exits and high-traffic areas, watching for suspicious activity and policy violations, and report concerns through required documentation and communication channels.
Complete required reports, incident documentation and shift logs, and communicate key information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
