As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, and you will represent Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and teamwork while supporting a people-first environment.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and to observe and report any unusual circumstances.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities within the location.
Document and communicate any security-related incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
Assist with access control procedures and provide directions or assistance to visitors and tenants as needed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during critical situations.
