Job Description As a Security Officer - Mall Foot Patrol in Denver, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to alarms, using a computer and/or tablet to document activity and communicate clearly. Requirements

Have 6+ months of security experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, documentation, and notification per site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, storefront perimeters, and exterior walkways; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Help to deter unwanted activity through high-visibility presence, proactive engagement, and timely reporting of suspicious behavior and/or hazards.
Monitor access points, service corridors, and delivery areas as assigned; assist with visitor direction and tenant support requests.
Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation with clear, factual details per Allied Universal guidelines.
Coordinate with mall management, store leadership, and local emergency services as directed during incidents, medical events, evacuations, and/or other site alarms.
Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing and reporting possible theft-related activity without physical contact, following post orders and applicable laws.
Use site communication systems such as radios, phones, and/or reporting tools to maintain situational awareness and relay updates to supervisors.
Perform additional duties as assigned consistent with an unarmed patrol post within a retail and mall environment.
