As a Screener in a busy retail and mall location, you will welcome guests, conduct entry screening, and support access control and badge processes while maintaining a highly visible presence. You will complete routine patrols of assigned areas, document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with team members and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
Have CPR and/or First Aid preferred.
Have a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests and tenants by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and entertainment location.
Conduct entry screening of patrons and belongings as required, verify tickets and/or wristbands when applicable, and help to identify prohibited items while maintaining a welcoming presence.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and lost child or lost property situations, and coordinate with local responders when needed.
Perform access control duties at designated points, manage lines and crowd flow during peak periods and special events, and document screening results, incidents, and policy violations in required reports.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, monitor activity for suspicious behavior, and communicate concerns promptly to onsite management and Allied Universal leadership.
