About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mall Entry Control Unarmed in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for visitors and staff.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and management regarding security-related matters.
Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies.
