Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures at the retail location, including verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related policies and protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to observe for irregularities and report any concerns.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and the site's security-related procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with site management and Allied Universal as needed.
