Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, clear communication, and being part of a caring, agile team that delivers through teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, community rules, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations, with attention to unusual activity and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry when required, and report unauthorized persons, vehicles, and/or suspicious behavior to help support community expectations.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and policy-related issues in clear written reports, and relay important updates during shift changes and/or to Allied Universal leadership.
