As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor flow through clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance, and partner with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions and notifying appropriate contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, watching for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and conduct security-related checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas, reporting and/or escalating concerns according to post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports such as incident reports, patrol logs, and maintenance or hazard notices, and communicate clearly with client representatives and/or public responders as needed.
