Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Team in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in screening individuals and packages, contributing to a secure atmosphere while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening of individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
  • Follow site-specific security-related procedures and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and the client to maintain a secure environment.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by assisting with inquiries and directing them as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related incidents according to established procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to uphold security-related standards and support daily operations at the logistics and distribution location.
