Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics X-Ray Screener Full-Time in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors, staff, and contractors.
