About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Agent in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout the location. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
  • Screen individuals and/or packages entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and site personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
