About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Agent in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible throughout the location. Your role will involve providing outstanding customer service, clear communication, and supporting a team environment that values integrity, reliability, and innovation. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
Screen individuals and/or packages entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the logistics and distribution environment.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Collaborate with team members and site personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
