About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Verification in Mooresville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Assist with screening individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location, following established protocols to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter prohibited items from being brought into the facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter of the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel to provide information and direction as needed.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to maintain a secure environment.
