About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Site Patrol in Jonestown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond promptly to incidents, all while upholding our company's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on duty.
Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
