Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening in Sauget, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor designated areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals and/or vehicles entering or exiting the premises in accordance with established protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Report security-related incidents, suspicious activity, and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment at the logistics and distribution location.
