As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, assist with access control, and perform security-related screening duties to help to deter incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, utilize technology such as computers or tablets, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations, following established protocols to support the security and operations of the logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel, providing assistance and information as needed.
