As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, assist with access control, and perform security-related screening duties to help to deter incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, utilize technology such as computers or tablets, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X Ray screening experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations, following established protocols to support the security and operations of the logistics and distribution location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel, providing assistance and information as needed.
