About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Lead in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while conducting routine patrols. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to putting people first, delivering through teamwork, and always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or access.
  • Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages in accordance with established protocols to help to deter prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and site activities.
  • Prepare and maintain logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed at the location.
