Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Team in Chesapeake, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a busy logistics and distribution location. You will remain visible, interact with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity and report any concerns according to site protocols.
- Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment.
- Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site management.
