Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Specialist in Jurupa Valley, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to customer service and communication fosters a positive atmosphere. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents encountered during patrols within the logistics and distribution environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and/or visitors as needed.
- Complete detailed and accurate written reports regarding observations, incidents, and/or activities during each shift.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and reporting any security-related concerns.
- Support Allied Universal and client operations by adhering to all company and site-specific policies and procedures.
