About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Gate Monitor in Earth City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas at a logistics and distribution location. Your role is to help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and managing access. You will interact with visitors and team members, providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents.
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by explaining site-specific policies and procedures as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
Document observations and security-related incidents accurately and promptly, submitting reports to Allied Universal management as required.
Support emergency response activities as appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns according to site procedures.
Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment tailored to the needs of a logistics and distribution setting.
