As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol assigned logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will engage in routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Assist in implementing and following site-specific policies and procedures related to access control.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by addressing inquiries and directing them appropriately.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Support emergency response activities and collaborate with local authorities when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence at access control points to help to deter potential security-related threats or breaches.
