As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure environment within a bustling logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and personnel. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations for individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Monitor and operate access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control, visitor management, and emergency response.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as required to support security-related operations.
