As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure environment within a bustling logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and providing exceptional customer service to all visitors and personnel. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations for individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Monitor and operate access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with inquiries and directions as needed.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control, visitor management, and emergency response.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or identify potential concerns.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as required to support security-related operations.
