About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Facility Entry in Plainfield, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Security Officer specializing in access control within a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. By remaining visible and approachable, you provide outstanding customer service and communication, supporting a secure environment. Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or any irregularities observed during shifts.
Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.
Assist with truck and delivery vehicle access, monitoring shipments and verifying documentation as required by site policies.
