Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Specialist in Wharton, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a logistics and distribution location, you will be the first point of contact, providing a welcoming presence while monitoring access and assisting visitors. You will help to deter security-related incidents through attentive observation and strong communication, all while representing Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and/or vendors entering the facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of visitor and employee activity, as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding site security-related matters.
  • Assist with security-related administrative tasks, including issuing visitor badges and handling deliveries, as needed.
