As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Monitor in Olathe, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related protocols.
  • Conduct identification and verification checks for individuals entering or exiting the location to support site-specific policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries from employees, visitors, and/or contractors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, utilizing problem-solving skills and following established emergency response activities.
  • Perform regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to company and client procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address and resolve security-related concerns as they arise.
