About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and assisting with badge access, all while providing excellent customer service to employees and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond promptly to any concerns. Requirements

• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Assist with access control procedures at the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Provide customer service by communicating security-related procedures and site-specific policies to visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken according to company and site-specific requirements.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, coordinating with Allied Universal and client representatives as appropriate.
• Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control devices to help to deter and identify security concerns within the logistics and distribution environment.
