As an Allied Universal Security Professional focused on access control at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, verifying credentials, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
  • Assist with traffic control within the logistics and distribution environment as needed.
  • Support site operations by maintaining awareness of surroundings and providing a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining a courteous and helpful demeanor.
