Security Officer - Logistics Access Monitor
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Monitor in Springfield, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the logistics and distribution location.
- Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises as part of access control procedures.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with security-related inquiries and access needs.
- Carry out site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and respond to alarms or suspicious activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Maintain detailed logs of access control activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual conditions.
- Support emergency response activities as required by site protocols, maintaining communication with Allied Universal management and site contacts.
