As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and team members, providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation in every aspect of your role.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to address questions or concerns related to access control and security-related matters.
Collaborate with site management and local authorities as needed to support security-related functions within the logistics and distribution environment.
