As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting and reporting security-related events as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the warehouse, distribution areas, and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
• Work closely with warehouse and distribution staff to maintain awareness of site-specific protocols and procedures.
• Assist with visitor and vehicle management, verifying credentials and maintaining accurate logs as required by site protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed.
