About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Desk in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will also be responsible for access control duties and may be required to drive as part of your responsibilities. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the distribution facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location.
Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and site-specific policies to help maintain order within the logistics environment.
Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel as needed.
Respond to incidents or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance needs to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
Collaborate with logistics staff to support security-related operations and help to maintain a secure environment for assets and personnel.
