Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Kansas City, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
Verify credentials and/or identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, drivers, and personnel with security-related inquiries and directions according to site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for unusual conditions.
Document observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
Collaborate with logistics and distribution staff to support security-related operations and maintain a secure environment.
