As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will contribute to a secure atmosphere for staff and visitors, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the logistics and distribution location.
- Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
- Observe and report any security-related incidents, suspicious activities, or hazards to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors, drivers, and employees with access-related inquiries and directions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify any irregularities.
- Complete required documentation and logs related to access control and security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or site policies.
