About The Position

As a Security Officer - High-Rise Lobby in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for tenants, guests, and vendors, helping create a welcoming, secure environment. You will manage access control, issue visitor credentials, monitor alarms and cameras, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with property staff and emergency responders as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements.
  • Monitor the lobby and entry points from a stationary post, checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs as required by location policy.
  • Answer phones, route calls, provide directions, and coordinate with property management and/or building engineers for tenant requests and after-hours access needs.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site personnel and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Complete daily activity reports and other required documentation, communicate key information during shift transitions, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent presence and observation.
