About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Security Desk in Bala Cynwyd, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity. You will support tenants, visitors, and staff with clear communication and a service-first approach. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and vendors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the property by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating tenant and/or vendor entry in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and building systems as assigned, and report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance, guiding occupants per site directions, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete routine documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
