Job Description As a Security Officer Lobby Screening in Orlando, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will welcome visitors, conduct entry screening and/or bag checks, verify identification, manage visitor flow, and document security-related observations. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and escalate concerns through the proper channels while delivering customer service that reflects Allied Universal values. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government services location by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or post orders.
  • Screen visitors upon entry by verifying identification, checking appointments when applicable, and managing access control in accordance with facility requirements.
  • Operate screening equipment and/or conduct visual inspections of bags and personal items as permitted, directing prohibited items to the appropriate disposition process.
  • Respond to incidents, disputes, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, waiting areas, and surrounding perimeter, documenting observations and completing security-related reports.
