About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Screening Driver in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and screen people and vehicle activity while providing strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, supporting patrols and rapid response across the site to help identify and report security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Security Experience ‐ 2+ Years is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct screening of employees, visitors, drivers, and deliveries by checking identification, verifying access authorization, and inspecting bags, parcels, and/or shipments in accordance with post orders.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and loading dock areas by directing traffic flow, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and coordinating entry and exit with site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site leadership and documenting events per policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, staging areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
