Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener in a busy healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff while supporting a welcoming first point of contact. You will conduct entry screening, manage access procedures, communicate clearly with clinical teams, and document security-related activity. Your visible presence helps to deter incidents and supports a smooth flow at the front entrance. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Screen and monitor individuals entering the facility, including verifying identification and/or access authorization, directing visitors, and escalating concerns per site procedures.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and adjacent public spaces to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items, and communicate observations to clinical and security-related stakeholders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed, noting irregular conditions and/or hazards and reporting them through the appropriate channels.
