About The Position

As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access points, screen people and items, check credentials, and document activity using site systems. This is a driving post, supporting patrol and response as needed while remaining visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors and contractors by following site-specific procedures for access control, screening and other security-related policies.
  • Screen people, personal belongings, packages and inbound deliveries at designated entry points using approved methods and equipment, helping to deter unauthorized items from entering the location.
  • Verify identification, appointments and shipping or receiving documentation, issue badges and maintain visitor, driver and vendor logs according to post orders.
  • Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, rule violations, incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct security-related inspections of screening areas, lobbies and nearby operational zones, and complete detailed reports, shift logs and incident documentation.
