Job Description As a Security Officer - Lobby Reception in Bloomington, MN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech campus as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome employees and guests, support access control and badge processing, and monitor alarm panel activity while documenting security-related events. You will use a computer and/or tablet to manage visitor logs, answer questions, and coordinate with site teams. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Control access to the location by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges and/or passes, and directing guests to the appropriate contacts or areas.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other front desk systems, and report unusual activity or policy violations to the appropriate personnel to help to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting details, and supporting evacuation and/or shelter-in-place procedures as directed.
Complete detailed shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate handoff information during shift changes, and support other administrative front desk tasks related to access control and visitor management.
