Job Description As a Security Officer - Lobby / Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy retail location, you will welcome guests, manage access control and visitor logs, issue badges, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will serve as a visible point of contact for employees and shoppers, helping to reduce unwanted activity through strong presence and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and vendors by carrying out post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at a retail location front desk.
  • Control access through the front desk by greeting arrivals, verifying identification and/or credentials as required, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the front desk, document observations, and report unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and assisting with emergency response activities as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, service requests, and daily activity, and coordinate communications with property management and/or store personnel as needed.
