About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Entry Control in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will respond to security-related concerns, support incident documentation, and communicate clearly with onsite teams while remaining visible and professional. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access to the location by checking credentials, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges as required, and directing guests and deliveries to approved areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points using access control systems and security-related technology, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and supporting first responders as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking and perimeter zones, to help to deter unauthorized access and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
