As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor check-in, and document activity to support security-related operations. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with employees and leadership to help reduce incidents. Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing foot and vehicle traffic to appropriate areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries by coordinating with drivers, confirming appointment information, verifying shipping and/or receiving documentation, and reporting irregular activity per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location and shift.
