As an Allied Universal Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage production location, you will support access control operations by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, managing badges, and documenting activity. You will complete routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or panel alerts, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing guests to approved destinations.
• Screen incoming and outgoing traffic such as employees, deliveries, and carriers by verifying appointments, shipping and receiving documentation, and authorization to enter restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading dock areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, with working conditions varying by location.
