As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and greet employees, contractors, and visitors with strong customer service. You will conduct routine patrols and document security-related activity, helping maintain smooth operations and clear communication with site leaders. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, including verifying identification, issuing badges, and maintaining visitor, vehicle, and delivery logs.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points for personnel, vendors, and commercial traffic, helping to deter unauthorized access to manufacturing and industrial areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, reporting unusual conditions and completing required reports.
- Operate security-related systems and equipment such as CCTV monitoring, alarm panels, radios, and key control processes in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
