About The Position

As a Security Officer - Loading Dock in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach while using agile and innovative practices throughout your shift.

Requirements

A New York State Security Guard License is required.
Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a commercial real estate location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and/or actions taken according to site guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to identify and report security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and building activity, assisting with visitor direction, tenant inquiries, and/or communication with property management regarding security-related matters.
Support daily property operations by reporting maintenance concerns, access issues, and/or suspicious behavior that could impact the location and its occupants.
