Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant activity according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit areas, platforms, stations, facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, public areas, and restricted locations, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
  • Support crowd management, assist with directions and general information, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports.
