As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and support a welcoming experience through clear communication and customer service. You will work with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, alarms, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Control access by verifying identification, directing visitor check-in, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and documenting entries and/or exits per site policy.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and support security-related audits and compliance requirements as assigned.
